So, my first post on here was me trying to decide to go for a 40 breeder or a 20 breeder.....i opted for the 40 and im glad I did! My concern was my floor, im a college student so the house I bought is pretty old, but i already had the 40, and i love the size a 40 so much. I just braced my flooring up with vertical beams and placed it near a structural wall. Very very happy with my choice!!!
Anyways, on to my second post! Ive sense built the stand, painted the back solid black, got myself 50lbs of argonite sand in different size particles, a decent RO unit, some nice reef grade salt, and 45lbs of rock. I got 40lbs of dry and 5lbs of live rock to seed the dry to save money......as i said college student!
Ive got my SG to 1.25 on the dot, and dosed ammonia to 1.5ppm.
Very happy as this is my very first saltwater tank, ive had many freshwater tanks, but im now able to fulfill a personal dream of saltwater!!
Im not really in much hurry to put any fish or coral in there, just slowly letting it cycle while I obtain various secondary equipment. Im also reading some books from the college library on marine aquariums. Knowledge is power, turned to wisdom with experience.....working on the knowledge part! haha
Just wanted to express my excitement with fellow enthusiast, as well as ask for some feed back on my rock layout and possible flow issues that it might present. I could analyse my rock-scape in ANSYS using fluid flow analysis, but it would be much funner to just ask some more experienced fish keepers!
Sorry for the rambling, just a nice unorganized run down on my new and exciting endeavor into reef keeping!

Tell me what you think of my hard-scape and point out any possible issues that it may pose in the imminent or distant future! all opinions welcome!
Thanks,
Cody
