So, I have been cycling for the about 3 weeks now. Ammonia never soikedd over 2ppm and now nitrite and ammonia have been at .25 for the last 3 days. Nitrate is about 20 ppm. Water change or not to water change? Here is my current set up:
55g DT
50lb dry rock
5lb live rock (in sump) from LFS
Chaeto (added about a week ago)
I've been spending tons of money on nitrifying bac design every day
Started with live sand
Also have a bio media filter with ceramic media
So will a water change speed this process up? Do I just need to wait? Is there a ridiculous ammonia spike In my near future? What is actually going on here?
