Right now I'm setting up my new 55 gallon tank with 20 gallon refugium and am looking at Bubble Magus Curve 7. I have a sump with 8" deep. I found this great deal for the skimmer for $200 from local ebay seller. I know that there is sea side aquatic es7 which it has exactly the same body as bm c7. I know that bm c7 need 9.5-11" in water. Can my sump provide bm c7 enough water to be skim? Will bm c7 run effectively and efficiently? Okay lets go back to Seaside aquatic es7, I notice that it use sicce psk1000 in bm c7 body. I couldn't pass out the deal for bm c7. Now my question is that, Can I replace the rock sp2000 from bm c7 with sicce psk1000? Exactly like Es7 skimmer? Have anyone tried this before?
If you guys have any other skimmer that you want to recommend, please feel free to comment. Before you comment, I want to say that my budget is $200-300 or $200-250. My tank will be heavy bioload because I want to make my tank into anemone tank.
