Hey guys, it's been a super long time since I've been on here. For the past month or month and a half I've been battling a red algae bloom. I've been blowing it off my rock work, removing sand clumps that are stuck to be algae and sucking it out with water changes. But it's growing back fairly quickly.
I have a 20gal long, so I only do 4 gallon water changes at a time so I don't shock any live stock from rapid chemistry changes. I'm only able to thoroughly clean half the tank at a time with 4 gallons. I have macro algae in my sump but it doesn't seem to win this battle of sucking up excess nutrients.
Are there any other methods to use besides macro algae and weekly cleanings that cahelp rid this nuisance from my tank?
