I have an empty 75g that's been sitting in my living room for almost 6 months now. I'm looking to turn it into a reef tank and have been doing a lot of research to figure out what I all need to get.
I've been undecided on stocking. The only thing I knew was that I didn't want any common fish types. Clownish for example. They're very pretty fish, but everyone has them.
I was at a petco a few weeks ago and saw a chalk bass. A blue one. I instantly fell in love and googled everything I could about it.
There's really not much info on them. Some say groups are okay, some say have only one.
Very little info on tank mates, tank size requirements, and what they like to eat. Are they reef safe?
They look remarkably similar to a yellow perch, so basing it off of that, I was thinking that they do need groups.
Any info on the bass would help. Thanks.
