Hi everyone,
I joined this group yesterday because I'm on a information gathering mission. I had freshwater tanks in years past but now ready for a new challenge and excited to venture into the saltwater reef/fish world.
So, I originally had my sights on a 29g bio cube due to the inclusiveness. My thinking was as a beginner in the salt world this would be helpful.
The space I have set for my tank would be better with a 20 to 30 g LONG tank! If I go that route, I think I would need to build everything from scratch since I have not seen many 30g long set ups except for one that was $1,000.00. I'm certain I can start up for less..
Since I'm unclear on the best products I was going to just opt for the 29g bio cube and have all inclusive for starters and upgrade as needed.
Is that a good option??
Any suggestions on what is best, easy or just make better sense for a beginner?
So My thought process is to get a tank and stand this weekend and get the water in the cycle stage and then take the next few weeks to determine what I want as far as coral, fish, etc. And most importantly to learn what I need to do to be successful!
Anyone have suggestions on what is a good start up? I was told Nano is 30g or less.. 30g does not seem nano to me!
I would love to hear from those with experience or those who had successful learning curves!
Thanks for reading and I would live some suggestions
