I just got a new LED for my tank and found a very cheap way to mount it, so just thought I'd share it in the hope that it can help someone else on a budget!
I have this put into the stud in the wall:

It had a hole near the end which you can easily hang your LED from. Is a very sturdy material.
The shelf that it would usually hold up, is rated to 80lbs (would require 2)
