New RO/DI week 2

Hey, so I have been doing 10% - 20% for the last two or so weeks now sometimes twice a week and my Nitrates are still high. 10 to possible 20ppm cant really be too sure on the color... What am I doing wrong?



I have two clown fish, 4 snails and a Torpedo fish that all seem to be doing fine. My light is one between 6 to 8 hours a day and my skimmer was just recently cleaned.



I want to start adding more to the tank, but I know I need to wait! Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get my nitrates at least to 5ppm, beside the obvious water changes? Cause that doesn't seem to be working...
