Good afternoon Reefers...my question is this. I have a blue cheek that loves to pile up sand in a few of the same areas to clear his "home" area. In those spots it's maybe 4" deep. I have never siphoned the sand in 8months. Should I be stirring it around at least with water changes? I heard it could become built up with nitrates. Any light would be greatly appreciated.
