Hey Y'all!
So I have my 20L set up with a Marineland 350 HOB that just runs crushed coral, no filter cartridge or bio wheels. Basically a mini sump, but likely much less efficient. I have my old 5 gal tank that I could use as a sump, but don't have the perfect budget for it (second enemy of the hobby lol). Can I make a DIY overflow with an HOB? then how do i pump it back up? Any suggestions or creative ideas?
Maybe I can make the overflow, then have a pump to get it back to the tank. Possibly rig a float switch of sorts to ensure that I don't flood the house.
How about getting creative with room? Right now the tank is on a dresser. The sump could sit on a cabinet next to the tank right? It doesn't HAVE to be directly below the main?
BTW, drilling isn't an option for me. Wish it was.
