You already have a whole house sediment filter?
I have a one year old BRS RO/DI and my sediment filter in it is just as clean as day one. I do have city water with a filter before it gets into the house and then it goes straight into the water softener.
Because its so clean, I was thinking of putting in two carbon filters to take some filtering demand from the membrane.
Bad idea?
With my making of 7 gallons a week of water I do change the carbon every 6 months and DI when TDS hits 1ppm
