That's for reading, VERY awkward situation and I don't know what to do.
So here's what happened, after my 30 gal sprang a leak/crack, I put all of my sand rock and stock into a 10 gallon, after the one clown died I decided to get two ocellaris clowns.
Here's where everything went bad, in the first 2 hours the clown were in there they showed symptoms of brook. It was late and I couldn't get formalin. I did a freshwater dip for the both, one seized and died the first hour, the second one died in the morning.
My firegoby and algae blenny have been perfectly fine the entire time.
To continue on, I found a great deal on an established tank on Craigslist. Another 30 gallon with live sand and rock. The seller was unaware that if live sand or rock is exposed to air to long it will "die". Without any water on hand I had to use water from my 10 gallon. Again here I was stupid and did not research enough about the disease brook. I now contaminated 20 gallons of saltwater in my new DT and I don't have any salt left to make new saltwater.
What can I do to fix everything?
Is it fine having my fire goby and blenny in the DT while having the parasite die off? The 2 fishes seem resistant to the disease.
Will my rock and sand be infected?
I heard there's a chemical you can put in the water to eliminate the brook will this work/harm anything?
If I mange to run a 10 gallon QT can I use the filter and heater from my DT?
If I were to completely flush out my tank and put new saltwater in there would the brook still be on the rock or anything like that.
My current setup is:
1 30 gallon hob
1 50 gallon hob
1 55 gallon canister filter (Lol you can't have to much filtration)
1 9 watt uv sterilizer
2 heaters
1 orbit light
1 circulation pump
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate:0
Nitrite:0
PH: about 8.0
