I am having 2 5000 gallons of saltwater aquarium located in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. The filtration is from TMC (20,000 gallons each). To begin with, my tank was started with actual seawater collected from the sea near by. Now the problem I am facing is alkalinity and calcium. Although I ain't going to put any corals it's a fish only tank. I would like to know if calcium reactor is required because my alkalinity is about 5dkh and calcium 340ppm????
