how much watts should I have for my 20 gallon 19" deep tank?

Im thinking about buying this full spectrum LED light that's 165 watts. Some have told me that's a bit much. I'm planning on keeping only soft corals so idk how much I would need. Is soft corals 3 watts per gallon? If so 165 watts is too much then?
