Hey guys
Story is a bit long so be patient with me please :D
I have a torch coral that has been in my tank for about a month now, first week when I bought it I put it on the sand bed and it was opening very nice even much better than what I saw in LFS. Then I decided to move it on a rock that I had dedicated for a torch (an island distant from other softies) . So the torch was closer to light on that rock (middle of the tank). At first when I put it there it was only opening halfway , I decided to leave it for a couple of days and let it adapt but it opened less and less every day so I decided to put it back on the sand bed. when put back on the sand bed just the day after I noticed brown slime on one of the heads and it was taking that head with it so I quickly cut that head off. Now it's been about 10 days since I cut off that one head and placed the coral back to its orignal place but it is still only bringing the tip of the tentacles out (it's not cramped inside the skeleton like when it's about to die but only bringing it's tips out) . I am out of ideas of what else to do with it I thought maybe you guys have some ideas
Tank is a 40g(30x15x21) tall tank with two AI Prime LEDs and params:
ammonia : 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 5
Calcium : 420
Alk : 12dkh
PH : 7.8
Phosphate : 0.25
Salinity : 1.025
Temp: 80.2
torch is under an MP10 pump, about 10 inch away so it is not in a direct flow, when it was opening before it only had the tentacles waving gently. It was initially close to a leather coral. Then I even moved the leather coral away a few days ago and it still not opening. I am really out of ideas
