So i am going to be transferring tanks from a 65 to a 120. I have the tank almost all setup and I will be making all new water for the 120 gallon tank. I was wondering if it is ok if i do this over a span of a few days-to a week.
plan would be to make 40 gallons of saltwater and then put it in the new tank. I would put a power head in the tank just so the water keeps moving. make 40 more gallons of rodi and mix salt in and then put it in the tank as well. Once i got to about 100 gallons i would wait for a weekend to transfer the rocks and fish over from the 65 gallon.
Would this plan be ok? any suggestions on a different type of plan?
