Aquarium security

So I bet this is a new one.

I have set up a tank at my place of work at a bait shop in south Florida and my problem is I come to work to find that people can not resist tossing things in the tank that don't belong there. Large shrimp, blue crabs, fish to large for the system and even chess pieces from the board we have set up next to it to make people think we are smarter than we actually are. All of this despite the fact I have placed a large sign on the tank instructing them not to do this. It must be people who cant read.

Its not a problem as of now since the tank is still going through its break in. The most annoying part right now is the multiple "how cum dar aint nuttin in dat dar tank' questions. Ever try to explain a tank cycle to people who cant even read. Ya..... I bet not.

I am going to grab some egg crate to cover it but I am open to ideas on how to lock it down so people cant toss things in. And I do mean lock as in pad lock.

Maybe a full hood with an egg crate top may make it to complicated for people to toss things in. It may work considering they don't even know how to read. Or maybe if I change the sign to, "please put whatever you want in this tank" . Reverse psychology.
