upgrading i need help

hi all i am upgrading to a bit bigger tank with a sump:)



now my idea is



1 i have setup a qt for the fish i have only 3

and a few corals



now when i was going to put the fish in there temp while i swapped tank about



i was going to add atms colony 24 hours before i am going to put fish in qt its been cycling away for about 10 days



my new tank is about 80l more than my dt including the sump



the new tank come with a bit of live rock dont know how long its been out of water so prob dead now so my idea is to put the dead rock into my qt tank today

and leave it there for a few days is this a good idea?



then after tank is all set up move the rock to my new dt



2 is to take water out of dt old one and put into new tank and then adding about 80l of clean saltwater just like a big wc

then leave for a couple of days and then put fish back in



the new tank come with some live sand when dead now but it looks alot better than my coral sand could i use the new sand in my tank or will it cause a cycle in me tank ?



my idea was is to tank some of my sand put into a bucket with salt water then add the live sand to that bucket so all the bactria from old sand will mix with new sand then just add it all to the dt will this work



and last question



how do i put fish from main dt to qt do i put in a bag and do it the same as when you get a fish from the lfs?





also can i put my live rock from dt in a bucket of ro water for a few days or does it need to be in salt water with a heater on?
