Protein Skimmer for 150g tank in 28g tank?

Hey, so I have been keeping freshwater aquariums for awhile now, but I am one month into my first saltwater tank and have a huge question.



So the protein skimmer I have is a Seaclone 150. And it says it's good for up to a 150g tank, but the tank I have is only 28g. If I run this skimmer 24/7, will it make my water TOO clean or synthesis beneficial bacteria that I need?



Any info would help A LOT
