Saying hi again,
Been away for a while. I used to be a very active member and plan on becoming one again. I haven't had a running salt tank in about a year and a half. So now I am starting a build. So, I decided to introduce myself to new and old members that are still around.
Not having a tank, for last year and a half, from a townhouse fire started by my neighbor. I had to break down my 75 g to save what was still alive in the tank after no power or entrance to my building for three days. Lost lots of corals, a few fish, and all my shrimp. Firefighters, also, cracked the corner of my tank with one of their tanks. So, I wasn't able to set up my tank somewhere else anytime soon. All fish and live rock was cheaply sold to my LFS. So, I did recoup some money from my loss.
I have had a large tank in storage, waiting for a house to put it in. 280 g acrylic to be exact. I have my tank, stand, skimmer, sump (my old 75 gallon), T8 lighting (will be switching out for LED lighting), and just ordered 200 pounds of base coral bed rock out of FL. As I preform the build I will take lots of pictures and start a build thread. This will be a slow setup process
So to finish up, I wanted to say hi to new and old members of TRT. Please join in for the build thread starting in the next month or so, if your interested. Advice or questions always appreciated.
