I'm currently on vacation in Florida and went to Cocoa beach (south of Cape Canaveral) and decided to pick up some Red Mangrove seedlings being that some were washing up on shore and happen to be there and the cost of them at my LFS at home (Oklahoma) is $10-$20 a piece. I also noticed some macro algae which I think is Sargassum to throw in the sump. (Image below)

I didn't seem to find a whole lot of people using it nor did I find any ill effects of using it. I currently have 1 mangrove seedling and a ball of chaeto in the sump at the moment, but I thought a variety would be nice. It would essentially be in the sump for nutrient export and cope/amphi food (if they will eat it) being that they ate all of my Ulva that was in there.
Anyone had any experiences with it? I have a few handfuls of it, just wanted to get some more info on it before i get home and decide to toss it in the sump. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
