really fresh fish food

Ok so I work at a bait shop in SW FLA. I have access to live shrimp, pin fish, game fish, live sardine menhaden etc. So If I grind all this up to feed to my fish am I adding less phosphates to the tank than using commercially prepared foods.



I do know that MOTE marine lab that resideds down the block from the shop comes to me to buy our fresh dead/fresh frozen shrimp to feed there tanks but the only explanation I can get from them is "its better than the other crap we can get". Pretty vague.
