'seeing it thru'?

Sometimes the toughest part of a new thread is coming up with a snazzy title to get folks to look....sorry. I get enjoyment out of staring into our little reef, seeing the BIG PICTURE, as well as THE SMALLEST DETAILS in our tank. The 45g was tough, but I could turn the magnifying glass just right to see to the center.("But was in a corner of our living room so a lot of the tank was just not going to be seen.") BUT our 220 is an 'island-tank' and there's lots of sites to see and discover......but seeing things, the smallest things, is just out of range of me and my old magnifying glass....that's a lot of water to peer thru. Hitch hikers to be identified, corals to check on, growth to see if it's behaving.....that's all the fasinating part of this hobby for me. Any suggestions from you all, secretes of seeing to the depths of our tanks. Besides getting a big enough tank to lay in and look around.....I'm a retired diver, got to pay me to be in there!

I don't know if one magnifying glass is better than another....if they have different strengths like reading glasses perhaps?

Thanks folks,

Dave
