Aptasia in my Overflow

Hi,



I have several aptasia growing my overflows and can't reach down to get them out. Luckily the water then flows into a filter sock so they are not populating the rest of the tank....yet. Is there a way to get rid of them? Can I throw a peppermint in the overflow?



I could try to use my scrapper and hope they get sucked into the filter sock??
