Hippo tang has ich! HELP

I purchase a Blue hippo tang about last week and added him into the tank after acclimation and he stemmed really calm for the first day but then the next day he developed three white dots by his gills but small very small. So I didn't know if it was ich. Intell the next day he developed three more on his body and that's when I new it was ich! I am treating tank with ich-x and also giving him garlic xtream. He's also has his upper fins up the whole time now he doesn't put them Down to relax. But his still eats good and swims like he's Healy. I just don't know what to do since I don't have a qt tank! Please help any ideas will be nice thank you!
