Is this the Uglies?

So like the title says, is this was it considered "the uglies"? The water is a bit cloudy since I just did my weekly maintenance. The algae that is left is what would not blow off. I have noticed that the rock has gone from almost pure white to the darker purplish color that you see. The rock was dry rock from reef cleaners.









FYI this is my first attempt at some macro pics. I used my Nikon D7000 with a 50mm fixed focal length portrait lens.
