Is chaeto leeching phosphates?

I'm having every kind of algae in my tank and I use ro/di, 24/7 skimmer, and feed only a little everyday. Everytime I move my the chaeto pile white stuff comes out and I assume it's pods but it's probably detritus. I siphon is out every week and as much as I can but still algae. I ordered a decent clean up crew from reefcleaners and hopefully that'll help. Possible? The chaeto has exploded in growth since I got it and will probably have to sell some soon.
