Skimmer pump

So the pump on my skimmer died. I e-mailed the manufacturer of the skimmer for a replacement pump. The original pump is no longer available so they sold me a replacement. Looking at the specs the replacement pumps output is 190 gph. The original pump was 590 gph. Will this make a difference or did I just get hosed? Thanks for your expertise.
