Greetings all,
I am currently looking at tackling repairing a pump from my large protine skimmer, it's an magnetic drive style pump. The internals appear to work and after a disassembly of the impeller I was able to get it working like a champ, soaking myself in the process. I then shut it off and it immediately went back to its non functioning state. If I was to take a guess it seems like it's binding up slightly when it first gets current.
Is this something that is repairable? normally I would just slap some lubricant on it and hope for the best but I am woefully lacking information on what would be tank safe.
