step down spray hose

im making an attachment for my return, its a spray hose to take place of my turkey baster and so I can create typhoons more easily. to do this I have to use a pvc pipe and shove vinyl hose into it and keep stepping down on the hose size (been in this hobby not even a year and I already have all the hoses to get pretty small, hmp.). so my ? is would I get more velocity out of the smallest hose if I stepped down quickly to the small hose or if I used as much bigger hose as I can and just used the small hose as the nozzle? here is a pic.
