Is there such a thing as too much flow (GPH) from return pump

am switching from a IM Nuvo 16 to a Fusion 20 tank (after an unfortunate leak!). Now, the problem with those tanks is that the back chamber sides are just a bit too tight to fit a Tunze 9001 skimmer, and one option is to put the skimmer in the middle chamber, but that requires putting 2 return pumps for each of the 2 nozzles instead of 1 stock pump which usually split in 2 to feed each nozzle. Each stock pump is rated 211 GPH, for a 20 gallons tank (the Nuvo 16 gallons had the same pump, so the manufacturer didn't upgrade there for the extra 4 gallons). I have been thinking of putting in 2 stock pumps, so a combined return flow of 422 GPH. I found the Nuvo 24 (a larger version than the Nuvo 16) actually comes with a stock pump rated 476GPH.

Would that be too much to double the return pump flow from 211 GPH to 422 GPH?

I have a birdnest on the top, close to the flow, LPS on one side (scholli, torch, mussa), and soft corals and others on bottom and right-hand side (xenia, GSP, zoas, actinodiscus). Want more SPS so I thought higher flow may be a good thing, but is there such thing as too much flow? (for the tank structure and longevity, or its inhabitants)
