My tank currently houses a pair of Oscellaris clowns and a pair (yes, they are paired.) Domino damsels. I recently restructured my rocks and open the tank up a bit more. (All this last night.) I only have one powerhead in the tank and I've usually ran it full blast at 1300gph and kept the tank a bit warmer than I thought it actually was at 84 or 85. Apparently my thermometer was jacked up. Anyways today I worked the temp down and it's now at 81. I want it a bit lower but I'm going slowly. I also moved the powerhead to the opposite end of the tank and repositioned the flow. I turned it almost all the way down but I don't know how much flow it actually is. It's definitely still stirring the tank. Everything just isn't blasted with white air bubbles. I also removed the tanks glass tops as I heard they suffocate the tank. Anyways now that you know the changes, it seems that my fish are exploring the tank more since the changes. They used to stick to the rock and hide and only jet to the surface for feedings only to return to the rock quickly. Now they're out in open water and all over the tank. The clowns are even finally noticing the new sebae even though they're still timid of it. My question is should I leave the flow down or are they just out for another reason?
