Filter Suggestions

Hi, I've got a Skilter 250 w/ Protein Skimmer (HOB) on my 35gal tank right now. The skimmer seems to be working fine, however, I think my tank would benefit from a new/additional filter.



I was told that I should invest in a canister filter, but don't know much about them or the quality. If someone could provide me with some brand suggestions or some alternatives, it would be much appreciated.



Below is what I've got in my tank as of now.

• Skilter 250 with protein skimmer

• Two bulb T5 Light, blue and white

• Koralia circulation pump (600 gph flow rate)

• About 30 pounds of live rock

• 2 Clown fish, a cardinal fish, and a yellow tang

• 5 snails, 10 hermit crabs, an emerald crab, and a horseshoe crab

• 2 frags of coral

• 2 Anemones
