Hey everyone. Well my LFS is closed today and tomorrow so I cant get down to ask them any questions so I figured I would ask everyone here. Originally I had 2 firefish in my 16 gallon tank as the first 2 fish. Well, After reading everything about how the firefish don't usually get along very well once they reach adulthood, I talked to the guys at the LFS and they took 1 of the guys back and gave me credit towards another fish. So, I decided to grab a pair of clowns. So currently I have 2 clowns and a firefish in the 16 gallon. Here is my dilemma, since adding the 2 clowns my 1 firefish has been in hiding and barely came out to eat.
Should I expect the firefish to settle down and eventually come out of hiding or is this gonna be the norm from here on out? It also seems that the clownfish like the same area that the firefish has been taking refuge in for the last 3 weeks and are staying in very close proximity to the rock structure there. I'm guessing as timid as the firefish are, that this is probably the main cause of the hiding but if it is, any insight on how to address any issues he is having?
