Hello everyone. I'm fairly new to reef keeping and I'm hoping for some advice. I started my first tank (55gal.) just a little over a year. It has a hang on filter and skimmer. I recently bought a 120 gal tank. I've drilled the 120 and got about 1 1/2 sandbed in it. It was a used tank and came with the sand and some lr so I cured the rock and sand, if you can cure sand the same as rock, I currently have a 20 gal tank as the sump, But I would like to use my 55 to make a sump with a refuge. The only thing in the 20 gal is the pump so there's room for my skimmer. My question is do I just move everything over or do I need to cycle the tank first? I have a lot more lr than will fit so I thought about just moving some from my 55 and replacing it with cured lr?
