I am relatively new to the hobby, but some of my corals have grown to a point where I want to frag them to make room for other corals. I have seen fragging kits online for $50-100, and maybe I'm nuts but that just seems like a lot. Do I really need all of the things included in these? I have razor blades/exacto knives, and some basic tweezers as well as a good toolbox. I also have super glue and can get frag plugs at my LFS. I do not have bone cutters though.
I have also seen cheap generic kits on eBay.
I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what I need, if kits are worth it, if the generic ones are good, etc. I do not plan on high volume, but would like to be able to make frags of my coral as needed.
