Hi everyone.....please help !
I recently had a major problem with my tank, and lost all fish apart from a bi-coloured angel and a 6 line wrasse.
These two fish recovered from the disease problem and were left in the tank for several weeks on their own, while I ensured the problem had gone, let the water settle down etc etc...
We recently added two new clowns....small ones.
The wrasse just will not leave them alone and bullies them up to the top of the tank all the time.
We then added a small flame angel. I know....before everyone says it, I knew this would be a gamble.....but we had a flame and a bi-colour in the tank before and all was fine, so I thought that by getting a small flame we might be ok.
Sadly not.....the bi-colour went after the flame nipping at it continually to the point where it had bitten some of the flame's tail off.
I immediately got the flame out and put it in the sump to recover, which is did really well, and now its fine.
Today....I managed to catch the bi-colour and the also (amazingly) the wrasse, nan's have swapped them over, so the flame is now nicely settled in the tank, and the bi-colour and the wrasse are in the sump.
The flame is fine, and the two clowns are also very happy.
The LFS have kindly said they will take the wrasse, which is good as from what I've read I'll struggle to add any more livestock without it bullying them.
Unfortunately, advice from the LFS also was that I shouldn't put the bi-colour back into the tank either.
I now realise that we might have been really lucky housing a flame and a bi-colour before, but really don't want to ditch the bi-colour now and just have the flame.
In fact, originally, we had a flame, a bi-colour and also a Coral Beauty in the same 360 litre tank......so I guess we were very lucky ?
Any thoughts, comments or advice as to what I should do ? Is it really going to be just too difficult to put the bi-colour back into the main tank now with the (still very small) flame ?
Thanks for any advice as always.
