Been looking at this form for 8 months

I have kept a 125 gallon discus tank for going on two years that is fully planted. I started with a 10 gallon tank and then moved to a 29 then to a 55 then got my 125. My girlfriend been bugging me to try saltwater. So 8 months ago I started a 40 breeder and its been going great. I have 50 pounds of rock, and a 3 inch deep sand bed. I have a aquaclear filter and a canister filter I clean these every week as I read these can become nitrate factories I plan on replacing both of these as I save up for a hob refugium and a hob protein skimmer.
