Unknown tiny white Specks

I noticed today looking really close at my tank glass I have hundreds of white semi clear specks with what appears to be legs. They don't move and are not worms. They seem to me like they are very tiny starfish but don't think that is the case. Some have 5 "legs" some 3. I cannot get a picture the speck is about the size of a needle and the legs maybe 1/8 of an inch.



Any help is appreciated.
