Redish Brown Fuzzy stuff

Recently, ther has been a growth of reddish brown mossy like item growing in the midst of my Zoas and palys...algae I presume. Tried pulling it off but only a small portion came off.



Any ideas? I'll try and get a pic when the lights come on.
