BIG PINE KEY, Fla. (AP) — You can listen to music while flying through the air — or on the ground. And now nearly 500 divers and snorkelers have been able to experience listening to music underwater. The water lovers submerged in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary for the "concert" this past Saturday. Those who dunked themselves got to hear four hours of commercial-free music piped below the surface of the water into a series of underwater speakers. The Lower Keys Underwater Music Festival was launched 30 years ago — and a coordinator of the event says it's the only place he knows of where music is put underwater for divers, snorkelers and marine life. Among the tunes heard at the concert: themes from "The Little Mermaid" and the classic TV series "Flipper."
