So I plan to start this over the top process tomorrow and have a couple questions...
1. I am putting in rock from 2 different tanks and "new" rock that I just received that is obviously used and not clean...question is will all this rock seed each other and all be ready to use at around the same time??
2. 4-6 weeks?? That a realistic timeframe??
3. Will pulling rock out of my display cause any issues as far as ammonia spikes or anything?? I'm removing roughly 1/3 of the rock
4. I plan on just a basic powerhead pointed at the surface with a heater cranked to 80-85 in a brute...do I need additional powerheads under the rock blowing through??
5. Weekly swish around and water change...do I need to use saltwater to swish or will rodi not kill the bacteria if I just use it to swish??
6. Will I get any cycle or anything g when I place the rock in the new tank in a few weeks??
I think that's it for now...I read through the sticky thread but had these specific questions before and after I read the thread so looking for specific answers to make it easy haha
Thanks!!
