Changing salt.

I have a question about changing salt. My tank is cycling at the moment. I started with bought salt water from my LFS. But I'm in the process of buying an RO/Di unit and I'm going to start making my own salt. I know you should gradually change salt mixes, but how much of the new salt mix should I use? Should I just add it during a normal water change? Thanks.
