with the high wind from last fri, my house was out of power for a day. here is the timeline. i woke up sat afternoon to no power, around 2pm i found a way to power the heater/pump using my car for 8 hrs then i had to go to work. i turn everything off and covered the tank with a blanket. came home from work around 3am and power came back on.
next day the corals closed up and it had a diatom bloom with a lot of brown hair algae on the rocks/snails/duncan coral. 2 clownfish made it thru. that lasted for a few days and now i have green film algae growing on the glass.
ammonia was pretty high monday, after a few big water changes it came back to 0. ammonia/nitrate/ph all at 0 for a few days now. ed at 0, nitrate 0, ph 0.
what is my option right now? water change? or just wait out the diatom? i am really frustrated and just feel like restarting the whole tank again.
please help
