I am setting up a 125g that i bought from a friend. The tank came with a sump with compartments for different things. One of the compartments is for bio balls. He was running FOWLR so he needed the bio balls, but i will be running a reeftank with plenty of live rock. Is there any pros/cons to leaving the bio balls in the sump? The only other use I could think of for that space is for macro-algae (dont yell at me Geoff).
