Storm settings on programmable lights

People go out and buy lights that have a programmable sun rise, sun set to reduce stress on their fish.
These same lights are now coming with "storm" settings.
It seems that even though storms are natural if you are getting lights to simulate sunrise so you don't have sudden intense light, why would you use a Storm setting.
Does anyone who has one of these use that setting?
