Hello
I have just started cycling my first ever saltwater aquarium. I have done fresh-water aquariums in the past, my question is regarding the cycle. In the aquarium I have placed live-sand and dried reef rock. I purchased pre-made saltwater from the aquarium store. The aquarium has been running for about 36 hours, I just did my first water test with the parameters being (pH 7.8, Ammonia 0 ppm and Nitrite 0 ppm). When will I start to see a spike in the pH and when will the other parameters change and then go back down? Do I need to have the heater and lighting running for this period? The current temperature in the tank is 74 F. Would you recommend I introduce any chemicals to assist in the cycle or just leave as is?
Thank you for your help
