will my tank cycle properly?

i have gone the route to cycle my tank with fish. i am doing water changes every three days because my amonia is quickly riseing and i do not want the fish to die.i have about 5 lbs of live rock(20 gal bowfront tank) and a canister filter along with a h.o.b will i have any problems cycleing the tank?
