I put this message here in Large Systems because these Hammerhead Pumps are meant to move a lot of water in 300-500g systems.
In 2008 I bought a Hammerhead Pump from Reef Exotics....a fellow named Tony.
RE is located in New York and sells a variety of Aquatic products.
Any who, I noticed a small puddle of water on a floor that I tracked down to the Hammerhead pump. The leak is coming from behind the pump housing, which most likely indicates a bad seal on the pump.
So I looked around the internet and found various prices on a replacement for the Hammerhead, which returns water to a 400g from the sump.
The best price I found was @ Reef Exotics, with free shipping and......some great customer service that included having a seal kit delivered to fix the old pump. I will keep that pump as a back up for a return and for use if one or both of the Dart pumps fail for my closed loop.
Thought I'd share this info....

Ask for Tony if you want to talk to a human. :) Tell him Dave sent ya!
ps...I told him about TRT.
