I started a 5 gallon Nano tank, with two big pieces of dry reef rock, some sand I cleaned out and water from my established 29g Biocube. After getting everything setup, I began putting some flakes into the water and shortly put in a small fish. Welp, must've been too early because he didn't make it. I'm not going to put any fish in it moving forward, going to stick with just corals. However, since I figured my tank hadn't cycled yet, I left him in there to decompose. I figured the spike in ammonia would help move the cycle forward. Well, a week later, I checked ammonia and nitrites and they are at absolute ZERO. Is that possible??
